For many decades residents and workers have been getting cancer and other diseases at San Francisco’s radioactive former Hunters Point and Treasure Island Naval Shipyard. Hunters Point is a superfund site with condos built by the Lennar Corporation on top of it.
Now two doctors, James Dahlgren and Ahimsa Porter Sumchai, have discovered plutonium in the bodies of both residents and workers there. Former San Francisco Mayor, now California Governor Gavin Newsom, current San Francisco Mayor London Breed, and San Francisco’s Congressional Representative Nancy Pelosi have all known about cancer epidemics in the area for decades, but none have taken steps to investigate or protect the residents. Not only that, the Pelosi family were involved in the condo development on the site.
Pacifica’s Steve Zeltzer interviewed Dr. Sumchai and Dr. Dahlgren about the significance of their findings.
