Professor Danny Shaw spoke to Pacifica’s Ann Garrison about the situation in Haiti. Shaw speaks fluent Haitian Creole and returned from his last trip to Haiti just a month ago.
Shortly before this interview was recorded, the John Jay College of Criminal Justice fired Shaw because he had spoken openly about organizing against the genocide in Gaza.

Thursday, April 4th, marks the 55th anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassination. King had arrived in Memphis, Tennessee on April 3, 1968 to prepare for the Memphis Sanitation Workers March the following Monday. We hear from Pacifica’s Akua Holt in conversation with scholar-activist Dr. Mtangulizi Sanyika.
