Amazon workers throughout the country are signing union representation cards and joining the Teamsters Union. In San Francisco 100 workers signed cards for union recognition and demanded immediate recognition. They walked out and rallied in front of Amazon warehouse DCK6. Pacifica’s Steve Zeltzer reports.

The International Longshoremen’s Association strike ended on Friday, October 4, when the union reached an agreement with the shipping companies. On that day, supporters of both the ILA strike and Palestine rallied outside the Emeryville, California offices of the Maersk shipping company. They called for a labor boycott of military cargo to Israel. Retired longshoreman Jack Hayman talked about both struggles.
