The independent, anti-imperialist media outlet African Stream closed its doors last week after being attacked by NBC, Voice of America, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, then de-platformed by all social media outlets except X and Rumble. African Stream reporter William Sakawa recounted the chronology of attacks on the X platform.

In a significant step in the steady erosion of civil liberties, the High Court in London has upheld the UK government’s move to ban Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation. This decision came after the group lost a bid to pause the ban pending a full legal challenge. The ban was announced following incidents at RAF Brize Norton, where activists targeted military planes with paint. Palestine Action has been vocal in its opposition to the arms industry, particularly targeting facilities linked to Israeli weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems.
Phil Miller, editor of Declassified UK, reported from the High Court in London where Palestine Action tried to stop the government from banning the group on Friday, July 4.
