Capitalism & Class Struggle In Black Atlanta With Gus Wood
Dr. Augustus Wood is a professor of labor and African American history teaching at the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign. In his new book, “Class Struggle in Black Atlanta,” he writes about the corporate Democratic party’s plan to break the back of Black workers in Atlanta by encouraging foreign multi-nationals to invest in the city encouraging the gentrification. Wood also discusses the defeat of the AFSCME public workers in the city and how that defeat affected other workers in the city, weakening the entire working class.
