Last week was the second anniversary of the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine Ohio and their ignition of hundreds of tons of toxic material. Vice President JD Vance, who had visited with the residents before becoming vice president, came to the town for a press conference but did not meet with any of the residents who have been sickened. Vance said that he was against any emergency proclamation that would provide the residents with healthcare and funds to move out of their contaminated homes.
